Many people would state that teams like Washington, Sixers and the Cavs are pretenders because of the toughness of the West and also they are competing with teams in the East with sub .500. However, no team is invincible – just ask the Patriots, ha! Anway, what team could be the most unexpected team to win the NBA championship? And why? My own answer would be the Hornets due to their inexperience in the playoffs.

well it would be the knicks, theyre not eliminated from the playoffs yet, and so if they do make it to the finals it would be a large upset.

Last year’s had a lot of hype due to the historic franchises involved but did not deliver. The prior ones seemed to disappoint most fans as well.

It’s becoming painfully obvious the refs in the NBA finals are not up to the challenge and are missing calls left and right. Last night they were doing ok then fell asleep the last two minutes of the game. Running to instant replay each other team possession. This on top of bad officiating nights the last couple of games. What can a frustrated NBA fan do to get a decent refereed game?

David Stern calls the shots on what he wants to be seen and done. All he cares about are ratings. He could not care less about poor officiating. Just look at the 2002 Western Conference Finals series between the Kings and Lakers, especially game 6.

Anyone else notice how obvious it is that the NBA stretches the finals to all 7 games to make money advertisement money on TV and sales? Anyone want to bet it will be stretched to all 7 games again this year?
For you easy minded people they throw you off and drag it to only 5 or 6 games to make it less obvious.
