Question by Albroz:
Will the NBA ever be the biggest sport in the US again like it was during the Jordan-era?
In the 90′s basketball was the biggest and most popular sport in the country and Michael Jordan became a global icon and one of the most recognized athletes ever.

However nowadays the NFL and MLB have surpassed basketball as the top sports in America. I even think nowadays college football is more popular then NBA basketball.

Why is this?

NFL football is Americas passion now and I think it will be the top sport long into the foreseeable future but will NBA basketball ever be on the same level as football or at least surpass baseball as the # 2 sport?

What was it during the Jordan-era that made NBA basketball the # 1 sport?

Answer by Simar Chhabra
cuz jordan was a great plaer

I searched using yahoo and I could not find the answer to this. Does anyone know if an NBA team has ever had a bad begin (the first few months of the season) but still pulled off a championship?

You guessed it my team is really bad right now (so far) but there is a chemistry problem that I hope will be resolved soon.

Answer by MC(LAKERS 11-1)
the 2005-2006 Heat team started the Season with a 9-6 record at the end of Nov. but they still managed to win the championship with the help from David Stern.
