How smart is league expansion for the NBA to Europe?

What pros and cons do you forsee? Is it or is not it worth the costs? Would you watch more NBA games if the league expended to include European teams?
I find it interesting that most of you are viewing it from the European perspective and how it would negatively affect them. I did not anticipate that kind of empathy. Please keep your views coming.

What is the deal with NBA players going to Europe? How do the Euro teams find so much money?

If they are dishing out about 8 mil per year to questionable NBA starters like josh childress (euro teams pay the player’s taxes), is Europe really that basketball crazy in terms of fans, or are the owners just super rich like the European football leagues? I do not see how they can afford to pay that much.
